Haig is relatively new to the company and looks after event logistics and crewing. He previously worked in event production in Melbourne for 20 years. He digs the fast-paced, ever changing nature of the job. Organisation is key (Haig juggles constant phone calls). Friday afternoons are particularly busy. “A normal day involves 150 interruptions to what you’re doing, constant changes to schedules and ultimately, trying to plan ahead on a three-week, rotating roster.” If anyone can handle it, Haig can. This is a man who knows his way around a list. Sometimes, the most challenging events, stick with you. “There have been some pretty big events in terms of WOMAD but Laneway was probably one of the most challenging,” he says. “Logistically it goes on and on and on.”

Haig loves camping and fishing. Keep your eye out for his Goldstream off road camper when you’re next out in the wilderness.
